Size of group: 8-10 participants 


Age of participants: Ages 13-16 (will assess for appropriateness at time of intake)


Insurance Accepted: Most, yes (Contact your insurance and ask if CPT code 90834 is reimbursed and if there is a limit to the amount of groups) 

Length of group: 75 minutes

Cost: $60 each group (Discounts available if pay for a monthly "membership to groups" or sliding fee for those who are poverty guideline standards)

Duration: As long as youth is meeting medical neccessity for group (depending on needs of each group)

Dates: Group at this time is biweekly on Wednesday evenings at 4:30 pm

Q. Does teen need to attend every group?
A. No, not this current format group. If, however, unable to attend for more then 3 groups in a row, will be discharged from group if advanced communication with therapist did not occur. 


Q. My teen is not available at this day/time, do you have other times available?

A. Trinity Wellness Group, LLC wants to accommodate as many people as possible for group therapy, so if you are interested in the group, but unable to attend on this date/time, contact the office and will keep a record of your availability. Once enough interest for a specific day/time has been expressed, will let you know!

Q. Are there any requirements before joining the group?

A. An intake/Evaluation is required before the start of group to ensure your teen is a good fit for the current group, to develop a treatment plan, etc. 

Q. What is the format of the group?

A. Group is a dynamic, interactive group, in which participation is highly encouraged. Therapist will use a variety of ways to teach the information, and to have experiences in the group to maximize skill-building potential. Will use a mix of art activities, videos, writing exercises etc. It is a mix of teens processing life stressors, breaking down isolation that teens may feel, as well as learning skills on coping

Q. What if I am already in therapy with another therapist?

A. Great! No problem! Insurance will cover your group therapy experience, as well as your individual therapy appointments, because they meet different needs. (Just talk to your therapist and your insurance provider in advance!)


Q. Can Group therapist also be my teens individual therapist?


A. Depends on availability in schedule. There may or may not be openings for individuals to be seen individually.

Q. What happens when group ends?

A. Will offer a maintanance group following the group that will meet regularly for you to continue with your progress 


Q. Do I need to attend every group?

A. Yes!!! This is a skill-based group so each group builds on the information for a comprehensive approach. If you cannot commit to attend every group- you are welcome to consider another group in the future- 


Q. When will the next group be?

A. This group will be offered as often as there is enough people who are able to attend.


Office will keep a running list of interest and available times and will begin once there are enough participants- so contact office if you would like to join!


Q. Is this a weight loss group?

A. Yes and No. I will be providing information and offering resources for those who want to start a weight loss journey- however anyone who wants to learn about improving their knowledge, awareness, habits, and relationship with food can benefit from this group. You will be required as part of the group, however, to track your food intake in a daily food diary that will be useful information for you. 


For those who do want to follow a healthy, realistic food plan while in this group, have accountability and use the skills WHILE doing the group- I will provide you with several different customizable food plans, that have been developed by Registered Dieticians and experts around the country.


Q. Are there any requirements before joining the group?

A. If you plan on following a food plan as part of your group experience- you will be required to get clearance from your healthcare provider to follow the food plan that you have selected ( I will provide you with information that you take to your Dr. to have signed and bring at the start of group)

Additionally, you must have an intake by therapist to ensure group is a good fit for you
